A half a year ago I tried doodling using pens so that my fear of drawing would go away. The rule is not to use a pencil so erasing would never be an option. Once your pen touches the paper, there is no going back. It is permanently imprinted. These five-minute sketches gave me a feeling of liberation. Have you tried it before?

awesome doodles :)
so good! I wish I could draw.
I almost always draw in pen these days. There's something about the messiest and the permanence of it I connect with. We spend so much time going back and erasing and tryin to change things, that I like the idea that with pen, you can't. You can add to it or alter it or create something new - but you can't ever really undo it.
Anyway - here's one of mine I thought you'd get a kick out of: http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lqwhodia1h1qcdtuio1_500.png
